Who We Are
A beekeeper's
promise
To honour this unique treasure of Greece, and carry it — in every jar of Philomelia — to every corner of the world.

The Story Behind
Everything started as a passion when Constantinos was just 16 years old. Captivated by the world of bees — by the way a colony grows, thrives, and survives — he began learning the craft the traditional way, working alongside experienced beekeepers.
In his twenties, he formalized his knowledge through academic study at the Beekeeping Laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, alongside studies in Agricultural Technology.
In 2020, Philomelia was born — a brand embraced from the very first moment by the local community, and soon recognized internationally through the Great Taste Awards in England.
Our Philosophy
We are inspired by Greek nature and the wisdom of the Greek land. Our mission is to travel all over Greece — literally following the blooming flowers and honeydew sources — and transform them into a product full of flavor, color, and aroma.
Purity
100% pure, not processed, no sugars, no additives. Our honey is exactly as nature intended.
Sustainability
We harvest only what the bees can spare, practicing non-invasive beekeeping that ensures thriving colonies.
Excellence
Traditional knowledge, academic expertise, and modern equipment — recognized at the Great Taste Awards.
The Name
"Philomelia" combines the Greek words Philia (φίλια) — meaning friendship, affection — and meli (μέλι) — meaning honey. This is Philomelia: a friend of the bee, a steward of the land.

Constantinos Exarchos
Constantinos began his beekeeping journey at the age of 16, captivated by the world of bees. Without a family tradition in beekeeping, he learned the craft the old-fashioned way — working alongside experienced beekeepers before formalizing his expertise through academic study.
